Company History

Carl Chandler, owner and president of C. Chandler Contracting (Celtic Homes) Ltd, started his building career as an apprentice carpenter in 1987, in his former home of Nova Scotia. Moving to Alberta in the early 1990s, Carl has been building residential homes in Dawson Creek since 1994.

In that time, Carl has lead his team through more than two hundred custom and spec home projects, plus major renovation projects including Boston Pizza Restaurant and Meng Fan Restaurant. In 2010, Carl expanded his business to include commercial building construction, and since then Celtic has worked with Joe Loomis Trucking Ltd, Rockwater Energy Ltd, Cat Finning Ltd, B & C Trucking Ltd, Trimac Transportation Ltd and Pacific Northern Gas Ltd.

With an established management team and a large-scale workforce, the business has grown substantially all over Northern BC and Alberta. Expanding into the industrial construction industry in 2014, Celtic is looking forward to taking on larger and more complex industrial projects.

Carl and his wife Rachel are happily raising three teenage boys—Ashton, Nathan and Kaden. Carl thrives on building a superior product and enjoys working closely with clients to ensure their vision is brought to life—from the original blueprint drawings to the final product.
